Grants for mobility

Grants for mobility are intended for professional artists or working groups formed by them, as well as for experts in different fields of the arts, who are residents of Finland. These grants are intended for private individuals and not for communities. Private persons carrying on trade (private traders – toiminimi) may also apply.

Grants for mobility

Grants for mobility are intended for professional artists or working groups formed by them, as well as for experts in different fields of the arts, who are residents of Finland. Artist grants

Artist grants are intended to support the work of professional artists in different fields of the arts. The grants are awarded for a period of between six months and five years.

Regional grants

Regional grants are intended for professional artists in the region and/or working groups formed by them. Private persons carrying on trade (private traders) may also apply project grant.

Library grants for writers and translators

Library grants are intended for creative work of writers and translators.

Application period ended: 01.02.2021

Public Display Grants

Public display grants are intended for professional artists in the fields of the visual arts, media art and design whose works may be displayed publicly.

Grants for promoting cultural diversity

These grants are intended to strengthen the working conditions of artists with immigrant backgrounds and those who belong to cultural minorities, as well as to promote cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue and to combat racism through art.

Project Grants

Project grants are intended to support the implementation of individual projects by professional artists and art journalists in different fields of the arts.

Subsidies for communities


Festival Subsidies

Subsidies are intended for art and cultural festivals that have national or regional significance.

Operational Subsidies

Operational subsidies are intended to support the ongoing operations of communities in different fields of the arts, such as associations, foundations, co-operatives and companies.

Special Subsidies for Children's Culture

Subsidies are intended to communities operating in region for individual projects in children’s and youth culture.

Special Subsidies for Cultural Magazines

Special Subsidies for Cultural Magazines are intended to strengthen cultural diversity.

Subsidies for Promoting Accessibility, Participation and Wellbeing

These subsidies are intended for communities. These subsidies shall support the accessibility and wellbeing effects of art and culture and participation and inclusion in art and culture.

Subsidies for promoting cultural diversity and combating racism

The subsidies are intended for communities. The objective of these subsidies is to promote inclusion and participation in culture, as well as intercultural dialogue.
