The Finnish Arts and Culture Agency has begun operations as of 1 January 2026, and the restructuring of the peer review system continues. According to the transitional regulation of the new law, the old arts council structure will continue until 30 June 2026.

The appointment process for the new pool of experts is about to begin, and the info briefing will present the principles on which it is based. Henri Terho, Head of Arts and Culture Funding, and Hanna Susitaival, Head of Unit, will present the progress of the restructuring. The event will also be attended by Director General Emilie Gardberg.

Registration for the event is not required. The event will be held in Finnish, but questions can also be asked in Swedish and English. The materials used in the event will be published afterwards on this events page in Finnish, Swedish and English.
