Grants for individuals

Taike awards working grants and project grants to professional artists. Working grants are intended to cover working and living costs. Project grants are intended for individual projects. Taike grants can be applied for using the Applyforgrants.fi service under the new Finnish Arts and Culture Agency name.

Taike awards approximately 20 million euros in grants each year. Artist grants  account for approximately 11 million euros. 

Working grants are personal and intended to cover working and living costs. Working grants include artist grants, public display grants, and library grants for writers and translators. The application period for these grants is in spring. 

Project grants are awarded to professional artists and working groups for individual projects. Project grants can be applied for in spring during the call for applications for regional grants and in autumn during the call for applications for project grants.

Taike grants can be applied for using the Applyforgrants.fi service under the new Finnish Arts and Culture Agency name.

The Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) and the National Audiovisual Institute (KAVI) will merge to form the Finnish Arts and Culture Agency as of 1 January 2026. Taike is the statutory government grant authority until 31 December 2025.
