The application period for operational subsidies is in autumn. Operational subsidies may be awarded to support the operations of a community or a specific part of their operations.

These subsidies are intended for projects related to children’s and youth culture that employ artists involved with children’s culture. It is considered an advantage if the project is carried out in collaboration with a children’s cultural centre.

These subsidies support cultural activities in sparsely populated rural areas. They are intended for registered communities, such as municipalities, foundations, associations, cooperatives and companies.

Public display grants are intended for professional artists in the fields of the visual arts, media art and design whose works may be displayed publicly. The application period for public display grants is in January.
