Information about special subsidies for specific artforms

These subsidies are intended for communities in specific fields of the arts, such as associations, cooperatives and companies. The application period for special subsidies is in autumn. Special subsidies are awarded to support individual projects.

Special subsidies are intended for registered communities in different fields of the arts, such as associations, cooperatives, companies and organisations run by municipalities and foundations. When applying for a special subsidy, select the artform that your project most closely involves.

The application period for special subsidies is in autumn, and they are intended for covering projects in the following year. The minimum amount of each subsidy is 5000 euros. Special subsidies are not awarded to cover the costs of a community’s regular operations (see operational subsidies).

Special subsidies may cover only a portion of the total funding of the project and not all expenses. The bigger the project for which you are applying for a subsidy, the bigger the role played by other financing. If the project generates a profit, the recipient may be required to repay the subsidy in full or in part.

Communities that receive an operational subsidy cannot be awarded a special subsidy within a specific artform.
