Library grants for writers and translators, info for applicants

On Friday 24 January at 10am, Taike is organising a webinar for professional writers and translators about this years call for applications for library grants. The online webinar will discuss basic principles and provide tips on how to apply.

Webinar on draft legislation affecting Taike

According to the Government’s draft legislation, the Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) and the National Audiovisual Institute (KAVI) would merge to form the Culture Agency of Finland (Kulttuurivirasto) at the beginning of 2026. At the same time, the structure of the arts councils would change. The consultation round on the draft legislation is open until 31 January 2025. Taike will organise an open webinar on the draft legislation. The participation link will be published here on this events page.

Webinar: Applying for public display grants using the new Applyforgrants.fi service

Taike will hold an online info briefing on applying for public display grants on Thursday 9 January 2025, 12noon–1pm. Public display grants are intended for visual artists to support their creative artistic work in 2025.
