The fifth support package for the arts and culture proposed by the Government is currently being discussed in Parliament. Preparations are being made within the Ministry of Education and Culture for a new call for applications by the Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) as we await more specific policy guidelines.

Contrary to preliminary information, those who have applied for grants for mobility in the arts (mobility grants) shall be informed of the decision in writing by 15 May.

The Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) has launched a work guidance pilot programme in five locations. The pilot will investigate the effects of work guidance on the occupational wellbeing of artists over a six-month follow-up period. The Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) and Oulu Cultural Foundation are launching the Filmiapaja project in 2023 to bring together scriptwriters, writers, audiovisual professionals and financiers. The Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) distributed 30.4 million euros in COVID-19 grants and 3.6 million euros in COVID-19 subsidies in the seventh round of COVID-19 support at the beginning of this year.
