Arts Promotion Centre Opening Seminar of the Year of Minorities on 29th January

In 2014 Arts Promotion Centret (Taike) emphasizes the rights of minorities as art actors and audiences. The opening seminar will be held on Wednesday 29.1.2014 at 1 – 5 pm, Taike, Vuorikatu 24, Helsinki.

Central Arts Council supports the implementation of the Youth Guarantee through art – special subsidy available from the Arts Promotion Centre Finland

The Arts Promotion Centre Finland and its expert body the Central Arts Council are awarding a special subsidy for projects that develop the implementation of the Youth Guarantee through art. The project can be a pilot project resulting in an operating model for further development.

Artist Professor Reija Hirvikoski chairs curator group and jury at World Stage Design 2013

The World Stage Design exhibition presents original costumes, puppet characters, drawings, paintings and photographs, as well as lighting, video and audio solutions for the performing arts. The event attracts over hundred participants from 30 countries. This year’s exhibition is taking place from 5 to 15 September at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in Cardiff.

Lukukeskus, Culture for all -service and Sivuvalo project in cooperation with Villa Kivi and Arts Promotion Centre Finland organized two discussions about the theme of writers that belong to new linguistic minorities in Finland.

Change to application deadlines as of April 2015

As of April 2015, applications must be received by the Arts Promotion Centre Finland no later than 4:00pm on the last day of the application period. It is no longer sufficient that applications be postmarked on the last day. The change is due to a new online service that is being introduced for submitting applications. The deadline for submitting applications online is also 4.00pm.
