The majority of operational subsidy decisions will be sent to applicants by 31 January, as originally announced. However, some will be sent only by 5 February. You will be notified by e-mail when the decision is available on our e-services. We apologise for any delay.

The Arts Promotion Centre Finland proposes four measures aimed at supporting the arts and artists during the 2023–2027 government term.

”Meet Our Funding Recipients” is a series of articles that introduces you to artists, working groups and communities who have received funding from Taike. In these interviews, funding recipients discuss their art and the projects they have been able to implement with the support of funding.

You can filter the grant and prizes awarded by Taike by year, artform or region, for example.

During 2020–2022, Taike distributed a total of 130 million euros in COVID-19 support to artists, professionals in the creative sectors, private traders and sole proprietors, and art associations. Altogether there were seven application rounds. More than 43,000 applications were received in total, and more than 25,000 applicants received positive decisions. Overall, 58% of applicants received funding.

Particularly distinguished art professionals may be awarded recognition for their work in the form of the title Art Academic or Artist Professor.

Project grants for the arts are intended for arts professional and working groups formed by them for individual projects. Private traders may also apply. The application period for project grants for the arts is in autumn.

Taike grants are intended for professional activities. Grants are awarded either as general grants for ongoing operations or as project grants for specific projects. Taike grants can be applied for using the Applyforgrants.fi service under the new Finnish Arts and Culture Agency name.

This autumn the Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) and the Foundation for Cultural Policy Research (Cupore) are conducting research into the state of young artists in different fields of the arts and their views regarding art and their work.

Changes have been made to this autumn’s calls for applications. For the first time, the Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) will award three-year operational subsidies for the performing arts. The application period for special subsidies for children’s culture has been moved from spring to autumn. Take has also made changes to how some artforms are categorised.

Special events are planned throughout Finland in 2016 under the theme #artfortheyoung (#taideonlasten). The Arts Promotion Centre Finland will be partnered by children’s cultural centres, and Tuomas Kurttila, Ombudsman for Children, will serve as the patron of the theme year.
