During 2020–2022, Taike distributed a total of 130 million euros in COVID-19 support to artists, professionals in the creative sectors, private traders and sole proprietors, and art associations. Altogether there were seven application rounds. More than 43,000 applications were received in total, and more than 25,000 applicants received positive decisions. Overall, 58% of applicants received funding.

The value of each state prize is 14,000 euros. The prizes were awarded by Sampo Terho, Minister for European Affairs, Culture and Sport, at the Taike Gala celebrating the 50th anniversary of the arts councils that was held in Helsinki on 27 November.

Taike grants are intended for professional activities. Grants are awarded either as general grants for ongoing operations or as project grants for specific projects. Taike grants can be applied for using the Applyforgrants.fi service under the new Finnish Arts and Culture Agency name.
