Taike will hold an online info briefing on applying for public display grants on Thursday 9 January 2025, 12noon–1pm. Public display grants are intended for visual artists to support their creative artistic work in 2025.

According to the Government’s draft legislation, the Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) and the National Audiovisual Institute (KAVI) would merge to form the Culture Agency of Finland (Kulttuurivirasto) at the beginning of 2026. At the same time, the structure of the arts councils would change. The consultation round on the draft legislation is open until 31 January 2025. Public display grants are intended for visual artists to support their creative artistic work in 2025. The call for applications for public display grants for visual artists has moved to the new Applyforgrants.fi service.

At Creative Net funding coffee meetings you can hear about ESF+ development funding and project planning within the arts, culture and creative sectors. The funding coffee meetings are being held from January to March 2025 every other Thursday from 9am to 10am.

The Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) will be hosting an English-language webinar on grant structures for the arts in Finland on Wednesday 5 March from 1pm to 2pm. Regional grants are intended for professional artists and art journalists, as well as working groups formed by them. You can apply for a grant to cover work and costs using the same application.

Artist grants are intended to support the professional artistic work of professional artists and art journalists in different fields of the arts. The grants are awarded for a period of between six months and five years.

The Creative Net team from the Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) offers sparring for those participating in the call for applications for ESF+ projects within the Creative and Cultural Innovation Expertise theme. Support is available for developing project ideas and finalising applications.
