The Ministry of Education and Culture and the Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) are preparing for the restructuring of Taike’s arts councils. We welcome you to attend our online info briefing on the subject on Monday 17 June from 12:30 to 13:30.

The Arts Council of Central Finland has awarded a total of 155,000 euros in regional grants for 2024. Altogether 25 artists or working groups were awarded regional grants out of 138 applicants.

The Arts Council of Pirkanmaa has awarded a total of 235,000 euros in regional grants for 2024. Altogether 37 artists or working groups were awarded out of 345 applicants.

The Arts Council of Häme has awarded a total of 155,000 euros in regional grants for 2024. Altogether 21 artists or working groups awarded project grants out of 161 applicants.

The Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) has awarded 1,050,000 euros in subsidies for promoting cultural wellbeing and inclusion. Operational subsidies amounting to 619,000 euros were awarded to 10 communities, and special subsidies amounting to 431,000 euros were awarded to 17 communities. The total amount awarded was 2.7 percent less than in the previous year.

The state prize was awarded in recognition of the founding of Teatteri Union, a new multiplex theatre venue for art in Helsinki.
