Call for applications 2026: Library grants for writers and translators

Library grants are intended for writers of fiction, writers of non-fiction, and translators of literature who are currently residing or have permanently resided in Finland and whose literary works enrich Finnish cultural life. Applications can be submitted online using the Applyforgrants.fi service. The call for applications can be found on the service under the name of the Finnish Arts and Culture Agency.

Library grants support writers and translators in different stages of their production. These grants are intended for professional creative work in 2026.

Library grants are intended for writers of fiction, writers of non-fiction, and translators of literature who are currently residing or have permanently resided in Finland and whose literary works enrich Finnish cultural life.

Who decides

The Board for Grants and Subsidies to Writers and Translators based on a presentation by a special advisor.
