Appointment of new director for Taike postponed – Risto Aakko appointed acting director
The Ministry of Education and Culture has appointed Risto Aakko, Head of Administration, as Acting Director of the Arts Promotion Centre Finland for the period from 1 March to 31 May 2018.

The appointment shall nevertheless last until the position of director has been filled by means of an application procedure.
The appointment of a new director for Taike has been postponed. A new director should have taken over at the beginning of March. The five-year term of the previous director, Minna Sirnö, expired at the end of February.
Applications for the position of director were requested last autumn, and 46 applications were received.
Risto Aakko has served as Head of Administration at Taike since 2012. He did not apply for the position of director last autumn.
