Minna Sirnö appointed Director of the Arts Promotion Centre Finland

Minister of Culture and Sport Paavo Arhinmäki has appointed Minna Sirnö (MA) Director of the Arts Promotion Centre Finland for a five-year term beginning on 1 March 2013.

Minna Sirnö has a wealth of experience in social decision-making and cultural policy combined with knowledge of arts administration and the field of the arts. Her strengths include solid expertise in art policy, legislation and issues regarding the livelihood of artists, as well as her excellent networks in different areas of society.

Minna Sirnö has served as Executive Director of the Finnish Playwrights and Screenwriters Guild since 2011, prior to which she was a Member of Parliament from 2003-2011 and Information Officer of the Tampere Workers’ Theatre from 2000-2003.
