Ääreen – interactive dolphin pods and animations in Oodi Central Library

Ääreen is a project that showcases Finnish and international interactive, documentary animations. Running throughout October, the programme consists of exhibitions, screenings, discussions and interviews that bring together experts from a broad range of disciplines and offer multidisciplinary experiences for the public.

Summer bulletin for Taike customers

Customer Service will be open for the last day before the summer break on Thursday 8 July 2021. The fifth round of COVID-19 support for the arts and culture sector is open for applications from 16 to 30 June 2021. Decisions regarding both the fifth round of COVID-19 support and artist grants will be announced by the end of August.

Fifth call for applications for COVID-19 support for the arts and culture sectors 16-30 June | News

The Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) is distributing approximately 55 million euros in COVID-19 support to artists and professionals in the culture and creative sectors, as well as private traders and sole proprietors in the arts and culture sectors. The application period begins on 16 June and ends on 30 June at 4:00pm.

Decisions regarding the fourth round of COVID-19 support have been made. The application period ended on 15 April 2021. Due to the exceptionally high number of applications, notifications of decisions will be sent to applicants in batches.

Children and young people make street art on 1st of December all over Finland

The 4th annual Arts Promotion Day will feature multifaceted and multidimensional street art. Over a dozen events throughout Finland will highlight youth culture and allow children and young people to be heard. Arts Promotion Day will also mark the culmination of the #taideonlasten theme year, during which the Arts Promotion Centre Finland has been promoting children’s and youth culture, as well as the status of artists who work in this field.

Central Arts Council appoints new members to arts councils for the next two-year term

The Central Arts Council of the Arts Promotion Centre Finland has appointed 75 art experts for the seven national arts councils for the 2017-18 term. In addition, 112 members have been appointed for the 13 regional arts councils. The chairpersons of all the arts councils have artist backgrounds.

Nomination of candidates for arts councils underway

The Arts Promotion Centre Finland requests candidates for national and regional arts councils to be nominated by 15 June. The Central Arts Council shall appoint the members for the 2017-18 term in the autumn.
