Taike edistää taiteen hyvinvointivaikutuksia 300 000 eurolla

Taiteen edistämiskeskus jakoi kärkihankeavustukset kolmatta kertaa. Pohjois-Savon Sairaanhoitopiirin Kuntayhtymä sai 180 000 euroa kuuden maakunnan kulttuurihyvinvointisuunnitelman laatimiseen. Loput kolme toimijaa saivat kukin 40 000 euroa.

Taiteen moninaisuuden ja liikkuvuuden toimikunta on jakanut liikkuvuusapurahoja yli 100 000 euroa. Apurahan sai 73 taiteilijaa tai työryhmää. Hakijoita oli 307.

Calls for applications for ESF+ funding within the Creative and Cultural Innovation Expertise theme to open on 13 January 2025

ESF+ funding within the Creative and Cultural Innovation Expertise theme is available for projects that strengthen skills and employment in the arts and cultural sector or the creative sector and the creative economy. The next application round for such projects will be from 13 January to 31 March 2025. Creative Net supports and spars those seeking funding.

Central Arts Council appoints arts councils for 2025–2026

The Central Arts Council has appointed the national arts councils and regional arts councils operating under the Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) for the 2025–2026 term. The 20 arts councils have 174 members in total. The main task of the arts councils is to decide on the awarding of grants and prizes. Members of the arts councils are artists and art experts, and their work is based on the principle of peer reviews.

Taike receives 1139 applications from communities

Calls for applications for communities closed at the end of October and beginning of November. Eight forms of support were available, and a total of 1139 applications were submitted to the Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike). The number is around a hundred fewer than a year ago, primarily due to changes made to the forms of support.

Taike submits opinion on draft legislation on administrative reform

The Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) has submitted its opinion on the government proposal regarding the Education and Culture Administration 2030 reform project, which plans to merge government agencies. According to the draft legislation, the Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) and the National Audiovisual Institute (KAVI) would merge to form the Culture Agency of Finland (Kulttuurivirasto) at the beginning of 2026. At the same time, the structure of the arts councils would change.

Taike's operational subsidies in 2025

The Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) has awarded 13.8 million euros in operational subsidies for specific artforms to art communities in 2025. Altogether 193 art communities throughout Finland have been awarded an operational subsidy. Due to the budget situation and Taike’s strategic priorities, there have been more changes affecting recipients and amounts in the decisions than in previous years.
