From initiatives to action: Barents culture project incubator in Rovaniemi

On 21 and 22 May the City of Rovaniemi in Lapland will be the scene of many creative interactions as representatives of the creative sector in the Barents Region will gather to envision cooperation opportunities at a project incubator coordinated by the Arts Promotion Centre Finland and the Ministry of Education and Culture.

Arts Promotion Centre Finland sets strategic targets for 2015–20

The Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) has set its strategic targets for the period 2015-20. Accordingly, the agency will focus on expertise and service. The aim is to serve as a leading expert organisation for art and artist policies and a service organisation founded on the needs of artists and the field of the arts.

Read the call for applications carefully and reserve sufficient time to fill in the application. Applications should be submitted online, which requires strong authentication.

Exploring Sustainability Under the Midnight Sun - Coming up Res Artis Meeting in Rovaniemi on 18th to 20th of June in 2018

Next Res Artis meeting Exploring Sustainability under the Midnight Sun will be held in Rovaniemi, Lapland, Finland from 18 – 20 June 2018. Meeting will be organized in partnership with the Arts Promotion Centre Finland and the City of Rovaniemi.

Use of grants

The grant must be used in accordance with the work plan, but the project does not have to be fully completed during the grant period. A final report of how the grant was used must be submitted.

Decision-making

Grant decisions are based on peer reviews made by experts. A regular turnover of members combined with the diversity and regional representation of members of Taike’s expert bodies help ensure the pluralism of the decision-making process.
