Changes have been made to the autumn application period for grants awarded by the Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike). Applications can now be submitted and processed online.

Contrary to preliminary information, applicants for grants or subsidies for promoting cultural diversity will be notified of the decision in writing by the end of March.

According to preliminary information from the latest Arts and Culture Barometer, the impacts of the corona pandemic on the arts and culture sector have been significant and even devastating. As many as 76 percent of artists responded that the corona crisis had impacted their work. The majority of these impacts have been negative.

The national arts councils of the Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) have awarded state prizes to distinguished artists, artist groups and art communities.

The Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) is distributing approximately 15 million euros in COVID-19 support to artists and cultural professionals, as well as private traders in the arts and culture sectors. The deadline for applications is 15 April 2021 at 4:00 pm.

The majority of project grant and special subsidy decisions will be sent to applicants by 28 February, as originally announced. However, due to an increase in the number of applications, some decisions may be slightly delayed. All decisions will be sent by 10 March at the latest. We apologise for any delay!
