State Prize for Dance to Katja Kirsi

Katja Kirsi has worked with the Zodiak Center for New Dance for ten years as Manager of Outreach and Education. During this time she has innovated, developed and implemented exceptionally wide-ranging, creative and artistically ambitious outreach and education activities.

DuvTeatern is a Helsinki-based theatre company established in 1999 that consists of theatre workers with and without intellectual disabilities. Mika Myllyaho is Director of the Finnish National Theatre.

Taike edistää taiteen hyvinvointivaikutuksia 300 000 eurolla

Taiteen edistämiskeskus jakoi kärkihankeavustukset kolmatta kertaa. Pohjois-Savon Sairaanhoitopiirin Kuntayhtymä sai 180 000 euroa kuuden maakunnan kulttuurihyvinvointisuunnitelman laatimiseen. Loput kolme toimijaa saivat kukin 40 000 euroa.

Taiteen moninaisuuden ja liikkuvuuden toimikunta on jakanut liikkuvuusapurahoja yli 100 000 euroa. Apurahan sai 73 taiteilijaa tai työryhmää. Hakijoita oli 307.

Taike's operational subsidies in 2025

The Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) has awarded 13.8 million euros in operational subsidies for specific artforms to art communities in 2025. Altogether 193 art communities throughout Finland have been awarded an operational subsidy. Due to the budget situation and Taike’s strategic priorities, there have been more changes affecting recipients and amounts in the decisions than in previous years.

Taike awards 680,000 euros in grants to cultural magazines and online publications

The Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) has awarded general grants for cultural magazines and online publications for 2025. Grants were awarded to 20 magazines or online publications and four actors maintaining the availability and visibility of magazines. A total of 57 applications were received. The amounts awarded ranged from 10,000 euros to 73,000 euros.

Taike awards 500,000 euros in support for public art

The Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) has awarded a total of 500,000 euros to art projects based on the “Percent for Art” principle. The grants were distributed geographically across Finland, from Loviisa to Kittilä.

Supplementary artist pensions awarded to 57 artists

The Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) has decided on supplementary artist pensions starting in early 2025. Supplementary artist pensions are intended to supplement the artist’s pension security. The number of applications has increased in recent years. For the first time, less than 8 percent of applicants will receive a supplementary artist pension.

Taike awards special subsidies for developing operations

The Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) has awarded 500,000 euros in special subsidies to a total of nine communities for 2025. The new types of development subsidies were awarded, for example, to projects aimed at uniting communities and creating new operating models for different fields of the arts.
