Supplementary artist pensions awarded to 57 artists

The Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) has decided on supplementary artist pensions starting in early 2025. Supplementary artist pensions are intended to supplement the artist’s pension security. The number of applications has increased in recent years. For the first time, less than 8 percent of applicants will receive a supplementary artist pension.

Taike awards special subsidies for developing operations

The Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) has awarded 500,000 euros in special subsidies to a total of nine communities for 2025. The new types of development subsidies were awarded, for example, to projects aimed at uniting communities and creating new operating models for different fields of the arts.

Taike awards grants to 85 festivals across Finland

The Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) has awarded 4,017,000 euros in grants to festivals for 2025. A total of 203 applications were received by the deadline, and 85 festivals were awarded grants.

Taike awards 11 state prizes to distinguished artists and art communities

The national arts councils of the Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) have awarded state prizes for 2024 to distinguished artists and art communities. State prizes are awarded in recognition of outstanding artistic work within the past three years, a long meritorious artistic career, or a contribution to a specific artform. The combined value of the state prizes is 250,000 euros.

Taike awards 1.5 million euros in subsidies for promoting inclusion and cultural wellbeing

The Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) has awarded subsidies for promoting inclusion and cultural wellbeing totalling EUR 1,500,000. Altogether 16 communities received operational subsidies and 13 special subsidies.

Taike awards 500,000 euros for promoting cultural diversity and combating racism

The Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) has awarded operational and special subsidies for promoting cultural diversity and combating racism for 2025. Subsidies were awarded to 23 applicants, and 93 applications were received. The available funding decreased from 683,000 euros to 500,000 euros this year, and the number of applications also decreased. The amounts awarded ranged from 5,000 euros to 70,000 euros.
