Programmes and projects

The goal of Taike’s development programmes is to promote the status and working conditions of artists and to enhance the impact of art in society. These goals are implemented in projects in which Taike’s regional artists, special advisors and art experts play a central role.

Uusimaa's regional grants for 2025

The Arts Council of Uusimaa has awarded a total of 449,000 euros in regional grants for 2025. Altogether 81 artists or working groups were awarded regional grants out of 1309 applicants.

The Arts Council of Southeast Finland has awarded a total of 140,000 euros in regional grants for 2025. Altogether 22 artists or working groups were awarded regional grants out of 120 applicants.

Organisation

Taike has approximately 80 employees. Approximately half of these are administrative staff (civil servants) and half are art experts and artist experts on fixed-term employment contracts. The head office of Taike is in Helsinki, and it also has regional offices.

Taike’s public art team supports public and private actors and artists in funding and implementing public art projects. Our goal is to strengthen the share of art projects in the development of the built environment and a commitment to the “Percent for Art” principle.
