This October, Taike is organising one-hour info briefings for communities applying for grants and subsidies. There will be two of these online webinars for the different forms of support. The second webinar will discuss the following types of grants that are part of the new application system for discretionary government grants: project grants for "Percent for Art" projects, general grants for festivals, general grants for cultural magazines and online publications and project grants for children's and youth culture.

The Eloon! tour organised by Creative Net and Suomen Yrittäjät – the Federation of Finnish Enterprises arrives in Rauma on 28–29 October. The theme of the event is “Year-round collaboration in Rauma”. In cooperation with Globe Art Point, Taike is hosting an online info briefing covering Taike grants for professional artists. The webinar will cover all forms of support awarded by Taike, but it will focus mainly on this autumn’s call for applications for project grants for artists and working groups.

Publishers and foreign and minority language writers will have the chance to meet at the Turku Book Fair on 4 October 2024. The programme also includes a panel discussion that will be open to the public.

According to the Government’s draft legislation, the Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) and the National Audiovisual Institute (KAVI) would merge to form the Culture Agency of Finland (Kulttuurivirasto) at the beginning of 2026. At the same time, the structure of the arts councils would change. The consultation round on the draft legislation is open until 31 January 2025. On Friday 24 January at 10am, Taike is organising a webinar for professional writers and translators about this years call for applications for library grants. The online webinar will discuss basic principles and provide tips on how to apply.
