Public display grants 2024

The National Council for the Visual Arts has awarded the 2024 public display grants, a total of 960,000 euros. Public display grants were awarded to 80 artists out of 1227 who applied. Public display grants are awarded as six-month working grants, and the amount of each grant is 12,000 euros.

Professional conditions of artists in Europe

With the European Parliament elections taking place this June, the Art Parliament discussion forum gathers experts, researchers and politicians to discuss the status of artists in Europe. The Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) organises annual Art Parliament discussion forums on current art policy themes. This event will be in English.

Taike is an organising an info briefing on the use and clarification of special subsidies on Thursday 11 April, 1pm–2pm. The info briefing will discuss the terms and restrictions of using state subsidies, as well as how to provide clarification of the use of the subsidy.

Eloon! tour brings together the creative industries and traditional business sectors to solve the challenges of regional vitality

Suomen Yrittäjät – the Federation of Finnish Enterprises and the Creative Net project of the Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) are organising the Eloon! tour, which brings together actors from traditional business sectors with representatives of the arts, culture and the creative industries. The goal is to come up with new solutions to the challenges of regional vitality. The tour will take place this autumn and visit Lappeenranta, Jyväskylä, Rovaniemi and Rauma.

Taike adopts principles of EU state aid regulations: de minimis aid and the General Block Exemption Regulation

The Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) has adopted the decisions regarding the de minimis principle and the General Block Exemption Regulation, which form part of the European Union's state aid regulations, in subsidies for communities that can be applied for in autumn 2024.
