Art critics
Art critics play an important role in communicating art to the general public. Critics are usually specialised in a specific artform, and they offer their expert opinion in discussions about artistic content.
The Arts Promotion Centre Finland supports the work of art critics by awarding artist and project grants. Decisions regarding grants are made by the National Council for Literature, after consulting the Subcommittee for Art Journalism.
