The Eloon! tour organised by Creative Net and Suomen Yrittäjät – the Federation of Finnish Enterprises arrives in Rauma on 28–29 October. The theme of the event is “Year-round collaboration in Rauma”. According to the Government’s draft legislation, the Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) and the National Audiovisual Institute (KAVI) would merge to form the Culture Agency of Finland (Kulttuurivirasto) at the beginning of 2026. At the same time, the structure of the arts councils would change. The consultation round on the draft legislation is open until 31 January 2025. On Friday 24 January at 10am, Taike is organising a webinar for professional writers and translators about this years call for applications for library grants. The online webinar will discuss basic principles and provide tips on how to apply.

The Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) will be hosting an English-language webinar on grant structures for the arts in Finland on Wednesday 5 March from 1pm to 2pm. The webinar will discuss the nature of these grants, decision-making, application types, and the evaluation process. In addition, the webinar will separately discuss the special characteristics of Taike grants as part of the overall funding of the arts in Finland.
