Finnish Arts and Culture Agency distributes 650,000 euros to cultural magazines and online publications

The Finnish Arts and Culture Agency (Kuvi) has awarded general grants for cultural magazines and online publications for 2026. A total of 650,000 euros was distributed. Grants were awarded to 21 publications and four actors promoting the availability and visibility of magazines. A total of 44 applications were received.

General grants for the arts and culture to communities in 2026

The Finnish Arts and Culture Agency has decided on the awarding of 15 million euros in general grants for the arts and culture to communities in 2026. General grants have been awarded to 214 applicants. A total of 385 applications were received.

Use of grants

The grant must be used in accordance with the work plan, but the project does not have to be fully completed during the grant period. A final report of how the grant was used must be submitted.

Information about artist grants

National arts councils award half-year artist grants, as well as one-year, three-year and five-year artist grants, to support the work of professional artists. Calls for applications for artist grants are announced in spring, and the grant period begins the following year.
