Decision making process for a subsidy

Each year Taike receives around 1100 applications for subsidies. You will receive notification by e-mail once the decision is available online. The awarding of subsidies is based on an evaluation, comparison and overall assessment of applications.

Organisation

Taike has approximately 80 employees. Approximately half of these are administrative staff (civil servants) and half are art experts, artist experts and regional artists on fixed-term employment contracts. The head office of Taike is in Helsinki, and it also has regional offices.

COVID-19 support

During 2020–2022, Taike distributed a total of 130 million euros in COVID-19 support to artists, professionals in the creative sectors, private traders and sole proprietors, and art associations. Altogether there were seven application rounds. More than 43,000 applications were received in total, and more than 25,000 applicants received positive decisions. Overall, 58% of applicants received funding.
