Inferno is the only publication specialising in metal music that is published as a printed magazine in Finland. A subsidy awarded by Taike is of vital importance for enabling the magazine to be published.

Author, theatre instructor and long-time arts council member – Siri Kolu has many roles in arts. Now that Taike’s arts councils are looking for new members, we asked a veteran of council work about everything it involves.

Taike’s Creative Net project provides sparring and workshops for those interested in funding within the Creative and Cultural Innovation Expertise theme (ESF+). Our sparring and workshops provide useful perspectives on clarifying project ideas, co-development and project communications. Events will be held across Finland this autumn.

The main activities of the Middle East Women's Association include organising events, providing support in everyday matters and offering recreational opportunities. With the support of a subsidy awarded by Taike, the association has been able to organise cultural events and traditional celebrations, for example.

AVARA – Art & Tech <3 Sustainability event brings together artists and creators interested in digitality and sustainability. AVARA is an annual event organized by the Centre for Arts Innovation (CAI) at the Oulu University of Applied Sciences, co-hosted this year with the Arts Promotion Centre Finland’s Creative Net project (ESF+).

Finnish Arts and Culture Agency will host a webinar on Wednesday 14 January starting at 3pm covering this year’s call for applications for public display grants and library grants for writers and translators. The webinar will go through the changes that have been made to the calls for applications and provide tips for how to apply.

The Eloon! tour organised by Creative Net and Suomen Yrittäjät – the Federation of Finnish Enterprises arrives in Rauma on 28–29 October. The theme of the event is “Year-round collaboration in Rauma”. On the tour, professionals from the business and creative sectors get the chance to collaborate and come up with creative solutions to the challenges of regional vitality.

The system of peer reviews for the arts will be renewed on 1 July 2026, and the arts councils that have thus far made grant decisions will be discontinued.
