Restructuring of arts councils: Status report on preparations (in English)

The system of peer reviews for the arts will be renewed on 1 July 2026, and the arts councils that have thus far made grant decisions will be discontinued. They will be replaced by a pool of experts and rotating grant assessment panels. Welcome to our online status report on the progress of preparations on Wednesday 19 November, 11am–12noon.

Taike head office moves to Sörnäinen

The head office of the Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) in Helsinki has moved from Hakaniemi to Sörnäinen as of 17 November 2025. The new address is Kaikukatu 2 C.

Taike will host a webinar on Wednesday 12 November starting at 3pm covering this autumn’s call for applications for project grants for the arts. The webinar will go through the changes that have been made to this year’s call for applications and provide tips for how to apply.

Call for applications for project grants for the arts opens 5 November 2025 under the Finnish Arts and Culture Agency name on the Applyforgrants.fi Service

Project grants for the arts can be applied for from 5 November to 3 December 2025. These grants are intended for individual projects by arts professionals during 2026-2027. The call for applications can be found on the Applyforgrants.fi service under the new Finnish Arts and Culture Agency name.
