Guidelines for grant applicants (communities)

Read the call for applications carefully and reserve sufficient time to fill in the application. Applications can be submitted online with a mandate that can be granted and managed using the Suomi.fi e-Authorization service.

Grants for individuals

Taike awards working grants and project grants to professional artists. Working grants are intended to cover working and living costs. Project grants are intended for individual projects. Taike grants can be applied for using the Applyforgrants.fi service under the new Finnish Arts and Culture Agency name.

Use of grants

The grant must be used in accordance with the work plan, but the project does not have to be fully completed during the grant period. A final report of how the grant was used must be submitted.

Arts and culture professionals gather in Oulu to discuss cultural diversity themes

On Tuesday 7 October 2025, arts and culture professionals from the Nordic region, the Baltics and across Europe gathered at Oulu City Hall to attend the Nordic Diversity Connections in Arts and Culture Seminar. The event addressed contemporary issues of cultural diversity, inclusion and equality in the arts and culture sector.

Congratulations on receiving a grant! The grant will be paid automatically to the account you specified on your application and does not have to be requested separately. Remember to submit clarification of how your grant was used before the deadline.

Decision-making

Grant decisions are based on peer reviews made by experts. A regular turnover of members combined with the diversity and regional representation of members of Taike’s expert bodies help ensure the pluralism of the decision-making process.

Taike will be holding two webinars this October to discuss this autumn’s calls for applications for grants available to communities. The first webinar will cover the following forms of support: general grants for festivals, general grants for cultural magazines and online publications, project grants for "Percent for Art" projects, internationalisation grants for the arts, and general grants for the arts.
