Taike’s old online services to be closed – documents can be retrieved by 15 June 2026

The Finnish Arts and Culture Agency is gradually switching to the joint Applyforgrants.fi service for government grant authorities for handling grant and subsidy application matters. Taike’s old online services will be closed permanently in June 2026.

Restructuring of arts council structure

The Finnish Arts and Culture Agency’s peer review structure is being restructured, and the current arts councils be discontinued as of 1 July 2026. The new structure will have a Council of Arts and Culture utilising a pool of experts and rotating grant assessment panels to review applications. The principles of peer reviews and the autonomy of art will be maintained in decision-making. Stakeholders and the entire arts sector are being consulted extensively in the restructuring work.
