The Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) has awarded subsidies for promoting inclusion and cultural wellbeing totalling EUR 1,500,000. Altogether 16 communities received operational subsidies and 13 special subsidies.

The Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) has awarded a total of 500,000 euros to art projects based on the “Percent for Art” principle. The grants were distributed geographically across Finland, from Loviisa to Kittilä.

Grants were awarded to 20 magazines or online publications and four actors maintaining the availability and visibility of magazines. A total of 57 applications were received. The Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) has decided on supplementary artist pensions starting in early 2025. Supplementary artist pensions are intended to supplement the artist’s pension security. The number of applications has increased in recent years. For the first time, less than 8 percent of applicants will receive a supplementary artist pension.

The Arts Council of Satakunta has awarded a total of 120,000 euros in regional grants for 2025. Altogether 15 artists or working groups awarded project grants out of 83 applicants.

The Arts Council of South Savo has awarded a total of 120,000 euros in regional grants for 2025. Altogether 23 artists or working groups were awarded regional grants out of 67 applicants.

The Arts Council of North Karelia has awarded a total of 120,000 euros in regional grants for 2025. Altogether 19 artists or working groups were awarded regional grants out of 80 applicants.

The National Council for the Visual Arts has awarded the 2025 public display grants, a total of 960,000 euros. Public display grants were awarded to 96 artists out of 1244 who applied. Public display grants are awarded as four-month working grants, and the amount of each grant is 10,000 euros.

The Arts Council of Ostrobothnia has awarded a total of 140,000 euros in regional grants for 2025. Altogether 20 artists or working groups were awarded regional grants out of 134 applicants.

Funding for communities awarded by the Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) can be applied for from 1 October to 4 November 2025. Several changes have been made this year, including to the names of the calls for applications. New forms of support have been introduced, while others have been discontinued. The application period for project grants intended for natural persons is 5 November to 2 December 2025. Taike will publish all calls for applications this autumn on the Applyforgrants.fi service at the end of September.
