According to the Government’s draft legislation, the Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) and the National Audiovisual Institute (KAVI) would merge to form the Culture Agency of Finland (Kulttuurivirasto) at the beginning of 2026. At the same time, the structure of the arts councils would change. The consultation round on the draft legislation is open until 31 January 2025. On Friday 24 January at 10am, Taike is organising a webinar for professional writers and translators about this years call for applications for library grants. The online webinar will discuss basic principles and provide tips on how to apply.

Read the call for applications carefully and reserve sufficient time to fill in the application. Applications should be submitted online using our e-services, access to which requires a mandate that can be granted and managed using the Suomi.fi e-Authorization service.
