Taike will host a webinar in Finnish covering this autumn’s subsidy applications on Wednesday 4 October from 11am to 12:30pm. The webinar will go through which subsidies communities can apply for and offer tips on how to apply.

The webinar will go through which grants individuals and working groups can apply for and which subsidies are intended for communities. First ESF+ projects selected within Creative and Cultural Innovation Expertise theme

Funding within the Creative and Cultural Innovation Expertise ESF+ theme has been awarded to nine projects after the first application round. The selected projects cover such areas as sustainable culture tourism, the audiovisual sector, music and the visual arts. The next call for applications will be announced in the second half of 2024.

State budget proposal for 2024 proposes 5 percent cut to Taike grants and subsidies

Finland’s state budget proposal for 2024 has been published. Cuts of around 5 percent have been proposed for Taike grants and subsidies compared to the amount allocated in 2023. The cuts do not apply to Taike’s legally mandated forms of support, for which index increases are proposed.

We are looking for an Internationalisation Expert

The Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) is looking to hire an Internationalisation Expert on a fixed-term basis for the period 1 January 2024 to 30 June 2025. The Internationalisation Expert will coordinate and prepare the strategy process of the agency’s international activities.

Processing of applications for library grants and public display grants begins

Library grants for writers and translators and public display grants for visual artists for 2024 could be applied for from the Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) until 31 January. Altogether 1270 applications for library grants and 1241 applications for public display grants are now being processed. The number of applications was at the same level as last year.

Creative and Cultural Innovation Expertise ESF+ funding decisions to be made by the end of the year

The first call for applications for projects within the national Creative and Cultural Innovation Expertise ESF+ theme was open from 15 March to 15 May 2023. The processing of applications is ongoing, and the ELY Centre for Häme will decide on projects to be funded during November-December.

Taike’s Creative Net project provides sparring and workshops for those interested in funding within the Creative and Cultural Innovation Expertise theme (ESF+). Our sparring and workshops provide useful perspectives on clarifying project ideas, co-development and project communications. Events will be held across Finland this autumn.

Changes to November’s call for applications for project grants

Project grants awarded by the Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) in different artforms can be applied for this month, 1–30 November. A few changes have been made to the call for applications for project grants compared to last year. Artists can apply for a project grant with one application only and for one project only. Taike has also provided new guidelines regarding the amount of work covered by a project grant.

Call for projects within Creative and Cultural Innovation Expertise ESF+ theme attracts 81 applications

The call for projects within the Creative and Cultural Innovation Expertise ESF+ theme ended on 15 May 2023. Many new projects within the creative sectors participated in the first call for applications. Altogether, 6 million euros has been allocated for the selected projects.
