Does Public Support Make a difference, and for Whom? The Role of Direct Support for Artists in Different Art Forms and its Relations to the Situation of Women Artists

This paper discusses tentatively the impact of gender on the income level and public support of artists comparing the situation across art forms with the help of additional data recently acquired.
